Amongst it's many attributes, good art takes risks. It challenges preconceptions and gives a new perspective. It might even be a force for change.

The events here in Paris this week were hideous, although we also need to remember that even more lives are being needlessly taken elsewhere around the world. It's sickening to think how easily a life can be lost. And for what?
