After plenty of photoshoots in New York and New Jersey, I was back in England last month for a couple of weeks. We were staying with family in the west of England, close to the city of Bath where my I studied and lived for many years.
I wasn't photographing when I lived there so I wanted to take the opportunity for a photoshoot in a city with so many old, and mostly good, memories. It's also a beautiful city, with plenty of historic buildings almost all built from unpainted Bath Stone, a type of limestone. Not that you can tell from the images because I wanted more gritty backgrounds for most of the shots.
I'd met Alexia on a previous visit. I was shooting some street portraits and I noticed her doing the same, although her goal was to then paint portraits from the photos. She mentioned then that she did some modelling too, so I got in touch and we arranged the details.
