Review | Tap & Dye strap

I get a fair few complimentary comments about my camera. The Fujifilm has just enough of a retro look to catch the attention and sometimes be mistaken for a film camera. Most love the style and I enjoy using something different from the standard DSLRs.

I get nearly as many comments though about the camera strap I've been using. The standard Fujifilm strap is ok but I wanted something more bespoke. Tap & Dye is a small company based in New York that specialise in hand-made leather camera straps.

You choose the colour and length of the strap, whether you want a shoulder pad and the type of attachment. I chose a simple and minimal strap in natural tan. At 46 inches it's comfortable to wear over one shoulder or just around my neck.

The leather is beautiful and I can't fault the quality. To me, this style of strap with a vintage feel suits that camera perfectly. It's been on my Fuji permanently for the last 11 months and continues to look great as well as being supremely comfortable to use. It's also a pleasure to deal with such a responsive and dedicated small company that devotes so much care to their product. A product well worth paying a little extra for.
