Seth Godin shared some interesting thoughts in his post 'Is the noise in my head bothering you?'. Our worldview, our story, our plans and selfish nature dominate our thoughts and actions, at least while we let them.
I've experimented with a lot of different approaches to street photography but I know that the biggest factor in the images I make, and to the overall experience, is my attitude to those around me and those I meet. I have to tell myself to listen to their story, whether that's through meeting them or purely visually. Take notice of them, their situation, their story in that moment.
Empathy. If I could show, encourage and inspire one thing in photography, it would be empathy.
