Watching Anything Good?

Watch any good movies or shows recently?

I’m building up a long list of classic movies to watch or re-watch, but enjoyed Palmer and We Bought A Zoo recently. Mostly though, we’re enjoying the current crop of shows from Apple, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and Foundation.

I’m impressed with Foundation. I used to love the novels, although that was a long time ago that I read them, but remember the scale of the universe that Asimov had created being beyond anything I’d read before. Plenty of scope for the adaptation to go horribly wrong but it seems promising so far. The Morning Show is still my current favorite though. I love some of the visuals, the cinematography, but more so the way it approaches the critical issues such as sexual abuse and abuse of power. It sometimes starts to suggest a conclusion but then approaches the topic again, from another angle, through another character and perspective. Very clever and challenging.

So that’s how my Friday night is looking anyway. Plus re-watching Memento on IMDb, all in the name of study.

(I’m also wondering about picking up a Sony ZV-E10 as a little take-anywhere stills and video camera after selling my Fuji X100F. I’ll let you know if that works out.)
