28mm vs 40mm (Ricoh GR3)

I thought I’d get another Ricoh GR3. I still might, as maybe the most fun camera around and to just slip into my pocket whenever.

But the original at 28mm or the GR3x at 40mm?

I really enjoyed my previous GR3, but now 28mm seems a little wide for the type of street photography I’m doing. But then 40mm can be tight indoors, and I never really loved the Sony 40mm f/2.5 that I had for a while. But I do like 50mm and I like the 45mm I have on the Sigma FP. Can 5mm really make that much difference?

Which would you go for?

Or wait for the GR4 and hope for some weather and dust sealing?
