Sony FX30 Rumors

From limited experience, I really like the Sony FX3. Great in low light, 4k at 120fps, 10-bit color and a relatively small body. I like the included top handle and the general balance and design of the camera. Regardless of whether you believe it’s a true cinema camera, it’s a very capable video machine. Now Netflix certified too, for what that’s worth. But it’s also $4k.

So the rumors of a new FX30 are intriguing. An APS-C sensor so they could make it even smaller and lighter. And faster, with the smaller sensor to deal with.

It’ll be interesting, if the rumors are true, to see whether they keep to the same rough design of the A6000 series and ZV-E10, or something new. Either way, I hope it’s a great option. I love the Sigma FP, but it’s maybe a little too quirky for most of us.
