Two Flights, Six Movies - What I Chose to Watch

In reverse order of preference:

Tenet (Christopher Nolan)

More clever time travel nonsense. Very clever, but it (or I) lost the plot with all the coming and going.

John Wick (Chad Stahelski)

Oldy but I’d never seen it. Invincible Wick, reminding me of why I liked the first Bourne movie. Too much killing for me though. So much.

Ghostbusters Afterlife (Jason Reitman)

Low expectations but I have too many good memories of the original (and the spin-off Activision game) for it to disappoint. The new ghosts could have been so much better though.

Boiling Point (Philip Barantini)

Tense and occasionally uncomfortable. Like an angry version of ‘The Humans’ but set in a restaurant.

Licorice Pizza (Paul Thomas Anderson)

A quirky, likable love story. Excellent.

The Humans (Stephen Karam)

I haven’t seen the play it’s based on, but I want to now. Brilliant, full of character and interesting camera angles and framing and little side themes.
